The Concept receiver line was the house brand of Pacific Stereo, an audio retail chain based mainly on the west coast during the 1970s and 1980s. As proof of the quality of the line, the line's circuits were designed by Dick Schram who later founded Parasound, one of the high-end names in audio. The Concept 2.5 Stereo Receiver was near the bottom of that line, producing 25 watts per channel minimum RMS at 8 ohms. It was in production from 1975-78.This particular 2.5 receiver is in very good operating and physical condition for its age, but is being sold for parts or repair because two (on the right) of the four dial lights (see photos) do not work. All other lights work. The A and B speaker outputs and the AM, FM, Phono, and Tape function controls are in great working condition. All controls were sprayed with DeoxIt. The only other operational defect appears to be a non-working FM Mute button. Cosmetically, the receiver belies its age. The face plate is nick-free, while the rosewood vinyl laminate covering the case is in excellent condition with just a couple of what appear to be tape residue marks on the left side (see photos). Inside the case, the receiver is remarkably clean. Since this vintage receiver is 35+ years old and being listed for parts or repair, all sales are final. No returns will be accepted. Also, I will not ship this receiver internationally. Since I am new to AudioAsylumTrader, you can check out my feedback on ebay under user name "6dogvegan". I have been selling on ebay since February 1997.
