The Legacy Focus Loudspeaker System. This pair of speakers is part of an estate, and they are in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. They were purchased directly from Legacy, have had one owner, have had normal to light use, and have been in a smoke-free environment. The speaker surrounds are in excellent condition and the grill cloths have no problems either. The cabinets are medium oak. These are the original model (mid 1990's) which sold for $4450 direct from the manufacturer. The later model is the Focus SD which I think is priced around $10k (prices are no longer listed on the web site). The newer SD lists a frequency response to 30kHz, whereas, the original Focus goes to 28kHz (see specs below). The owner’s manual is included. A set of heavy duty, oxygen free, copper (I think they are monster cables.) speaker cables with gold plated connectors will be included, if desired. Each speaker cabinet contains: •three long throw 12" sub-woofers with carbon impregnated cones •two 7" kevlar midrange drivers •one 1.25" woven dome tweeter (48 oz. magnet) •one 3.5" ribbon super tweeter •a passive crossover •heavy duty gold plated binding posts arranged for flexible connections including: single amp (uses internal crossover), bi-amping, and bi-wiring. Each cabinet is 56" high, 15.75" wide, 13.5" deep, and weighs 165 pounds. Local pickup only (from Cleveland, Ohio); so bring a truck, van, or trailer, as well as some blankets or padding to protect the speakers during transport. Delivery can be arranged within a 35 mile radius. Bring your favorite CD's and hear them like you have never heard them before. Make payment arrangements with the seller. Checks must clear before pickup. Specifications: Frequency Response 16 Hz to 28 kHz; Impedance 4 Ohms; Sensitivity: 98 dB; Peak Power handling exceeds 1000 Watts per channel, but can be driven to satisfying levels with as little as 25 Watts per channel. Since the speakers are quite large and heavy, and the original boxes are not available, shipping is not practical, so these are offered as “local pickup only.” They are located in Cleveland, Ohio. The buyer may make an appointment to inspect and test the system. They are currently set up with high performance audiophile components that can adequately demonstrate the quality of this speaker system.
