I have to thin the herd. This hurts because I really love these speakers. The speakers started life as Walsh 2 and were then upgraded in 2014 to the Walsh 2000 configuration to make it the OHM Walsh 2.2000 speaker pair .
Original manufactured between 1982-1989. Size: 11x11x32, power handling 125 watts, frequency response 32Hz-20,000Hz (after upgrade), sensitivity 88dB.Upgraded to 2000 driver..."Upgrade to SW2.2000..."The system is upgraded with the driver from the Walsh 2000, new input terminals with gold-plated binding posts and 12 gauge OFC internal wire. This allows for deeper bass and wider dispersion of the high treble."
The grills were also replaced with brand new ones.
You can see from the Ohm website that these upgrades alone are over $1500.
Buying this unit from Ohm will set you back over $2500! Only one insignificant flaw: The can protecting the driver on the left speaker (they are now marked with stickers defining which is which) is dented. This does NOT affect the performance in any way and is invisible when the grills are on. I have the original manual (NOT a copy) and casters on the bottom of each speaker make them easier to move around - unnecessary, but a nice touch.
