Selling a pair of Tannoy HPD 385 (Arden, Berkeley) 15”/385mm dual concentric drivers in custom cabinets with upgraded crossover networks.
Asking $3500The HPD385 drivers were both professionally reconditioned in 2022. New surrounds and new diaphragms were installed, and AlNico magnets recharged. I have images that show matching DCR for each driver. They operate flawlessly and with absolutely no issues. The Mainly Tannoy crossover networks were built with Clarity Cap ESA film caps, Jansen inductors and high quality wirewound resistors. These crossover networks are an excellent addition and sound incredible with the speakers. The crossovers can be mounted inside the cabinets, and connected to the Cardas copper binding post on the back panel. Crossover only on the outside for the listing photos. Both Tannoy HPD385 drivers are mounted in these beautiful custom 9cu ft./255 Liter bass reflex cabinets. Cabinets are solid, well built and will last a lifetime. The cabinet volume calculates perfectly for the HPD385 driver and really allow the driver to breathe and come alive in your listening space. You’re gonna hear what these awesome dual concentric drivers are capable of. Plug and play ready Tannoy sound that will engage the listener and compete with modern speaker systems costing waaay more $$.
