For sale Thiel CS.5 floorstanding speakers in light oak finish including original shipping cartons and spikes. Price is for the pair. These are in 7/10 condition with some light marks (consistant with their age) visible upon close inspection (within a few feet) but they are quite clean and presentable from normal listening distance (and they look quite elegant in my opinion). The drivers are in perfect shape and the speakers operate perfectly. The CS.5 used the same quality materials as the more expensive Thiel models including 1-inch thick cabinet walls, a die-cast magnesium woofer chassis and polypropylene or polystyrene capaciters. More information including positive reviews can be found on the Thiel website at www.thielaudio.com The build quality is very high (very well braced, solid cabinets) and their compact size is ideal for tight quarters. Why buy new mass-produced speakers when you can own these classic audiophile speakers for a relatively low price that are revealing enough to reward you as you upgrade your amps and front end (but forgiving enough to enjoy with what you currently have).
