Custom JBL studio monitors which are Westlake Audio TM-1 clones. Professionally built with JBL drivers and genuine Westlake Audio walnut horns which were all purchased brand new back in the day at the time they were assembled (I have a partial receipt/invoice as proof). Four JBL 2225J 15-inch woofers (two per speaker), JBL alnico-magnet 2440 2" compression driver mounted to Westlake horns, JBL alnico-magnet 2410 1" high-frequency compression driver mounted to brass ring. Each cabinet built in two pieces, lower cabinet houses woofers, upper cabinet housing holds midrange/horn and HF driver. Backs of each cabinet have terminal (barrier) strip connections for easy hook up. Driver are all original and have never been opened! Woofer cabinets are 44" long by 34" high by 26.5" deep; mid/hf cabinets are 34" long by 15 3/4" high by 19 3/4" deep. Measurements are approximate; mid/hf cabinets are open back (no back) for access to drivers and terminals. Since they were constructed in two pieces, the woofer cabinets can be oriented vertically or horizontally (if stacked vertically, the woofer and mid/hf cabinets match up at 34" wide). There are cutouts which are covered up in the lower cabinets to convert the speakers to single-cabinet speakers by installing the horn and HF driver into the woofer cabinets like factory TM-1's if you want. Very solid, extensively braced cabinets, super thick panels and front baffle -- front baffle panel is 1 1/4" thick. Unbelievably heavy and obviously not for the faint of heart, these were purpose built for ultimate sound. Make sure you have the space and your girlfriend's or wife's approval before purchasing! You will need at least 2 friends and a large truck or van to move them since they are in four pieces. Includes an extra original JBL 2225J woofer which has a tear in the cone (will need to be reconed). No internal passive crossovers, meant to be tri-amped. Will include a JBL M553 3-way active crossover with all XLR ins/outs so you can tri-amp, as well as four older JBL Synthesis amplifiers with XLR ins/outs and adjustable left and right volume controls on the front panel, so you have three amps plus one extra, unless you bridge two of the amps into mono to power the woofers (amps are bridgeable). Therefore, the speakers are plug and play, although you may want to upgrade the amplification at some point for the best possible sound. With the right amplification, these sound incredible! $3500 OBO for the pair of speakers, crossover and amps. JUST THE COST OF THE DRIVERS AND HORNS ALONE IS PROBABLY WORTH MORE THAN MY ASKING PRICE.
