Have a 2 owner pair Altec 9844a. Cabs a bit rough but presentable and could be made to look good since painted. I removed the failing binding posts strip and direct wired with nordost cable has banana plugs. I also fully check over drivers crossover etc. The drivers look almost new. I placed a bit of acusta stuff in cab to improve bass responce. Also replaced the cheap screws that hold back on with alen head screws these hold much better removed a wee bit of drone. 1 of Altecs better models. I sold my model 19 after buying 4 of these selling off my extra pair. $900 located near madison wi. A whole lot of performance for $900 these sound as good as many modern horn systems and you know the cost on those.
