NOTE: Split shipping now offered ! Designed and built by Ed Schilling in Leesville, S.C., these Model 1 Horns are finished in red oak, use Fostex 126E full range drivers and can be driven by flea power amps. They are capable of 98-100dB (peaks) performance. The Horns are designed for corner placement to allow the rear loaded, folded design to work best and is suggested for maximum extension and output. They will perform well away from the corners, in which case, powered subwoofers are suggested. The Horns can play very loud with ease and no listener fatigue. They are ‘fast’ speakers that can move the listener with their realism and “aliveness”. Dynamics are impressive as is transient response. They throw a wide soundstage and image very well. The drivers are in excellent condition and have been treated kindly. When purchased from the second owner, one cabinet came with a 2 1/2” long tapered scrape near the bottom corner that shows through the veneer. The bottom half of the scrape is 1/8” wide and tapers to 1/32” at the top. (See picture.) It can be repaired easily, but is not very noticeable. Otherwise, the cabinets appear to have no more than normal wear. I've rated them conservatively (7). Easy 8 ohm load. 30”H X 11.5”D X 6.5”W. They will be carefully packed and shipped in double-boxes. The listed shipping weight is estimated for one speaker. They will be shipped in 2 separate cartons. Exact weight will be confirmed to the buyer. Accept Paypal or Money Order. Split shipping/insurance; buyer pays Paypal fees.
