A pair of rare, first generation IMF Studio Speakers. Made in England, they are Transmission Line Loudspeakers and produce sound that is relatively uncolored with the ability to give greater musical pleasure with less listener fatigue. IMF Studios deliver a sense of realism that rivals the live performance itself. Drive System: Four way, chemically formed dynamic drive. Crossover: 375 HZ, 3.5 KHZ, 13 KHZ; impedance and phase matching critically controlled by 14 element network. Bass unit 8in., Mid-range 4in., High frequency 1 ¾ in. chemical diaphragm, super-tweeter ¾in. chemical dome.
Impedance: Substantially resistive, nominally 8 ohms, and ideal for amplifiers.
Power Required: Suggested 25 watts minimum. Can be safely used with high powered amplifiers on program materials.
Frequency Range: Minimum per anechoic plots> Actually, response is uniform 25 HZ-40KH.
Distortions: Harmonic-per anechoic measurements supplied
Doppler – minimal per the design parameters.
Transient – significantly reduced, as measured by tone bursts, including examination of “delay†waves.
