Trades considered for smaller speakers of equal value. Rare vintage Tangent Acoustics loudspeakers from the early 80's. There is some confusion over the model number. It looks almost identical to the RS8 on the website with the exception of mine having what appears to be a 6" Dalesford woofer, a 5" midrannge and a 1 1/2" tweeter that appears to be different than the one shown on website. Also, mine are 30" H vs. 36" H for the RS8 shown. There is very little info. on the Tangent speakers and I cannot find any that look like mine. The retail of the RS8 was $1,995 pair. The speakers are in very good condition with no marks or scrapes on the veneer that I can see. Originally these came with casters attached that were removed by a former owner. It left a couple of holes on bottom. Overall rating of 7/10 reflects this. There is a serial number of 058031A on both speakers. They sound great and perform flawlessly. I am relocating to Florida on March 30 and these are too large for the move. These are very desirable speakers for the collector and have the typical British sound. I would estimate efficency at 87-88dB. Local pickup is preferred as they would be very difficult to pack due to their odd shape.
