These beautiful high efficiencey speakers are enclosed in custom Onken cabinets, and
have 5ll B Altec Horns with 9-8-8A high frequency drivers; these speakers were custom built in San Antonio by a well known wood craftsman.
These are full range speakers and are very dynamic with amazing bass combined with precise imaging and a huge soundstage.
The horns are as new. The cabinets are over an inch thick; Each speaker weighs approximately 120 lbs. Thus, shipping would be difficult, and will be at buyer's expense.
I will deliver within 300 miles of Midland,Texas, or can meet buyer halfway for longer distances.
I am currently powering these huge speakers with Quicksilver Monoblocks, @ 25 wpc!. I am told these massive speakers can be powered by SET amps, but have not tried it myself . However, the Quicksilvers are perfect for these speakers and can drive them to wall shaking levels without distortion.
Will consider trades for vintage low efficiency full range speakers, as I have acquired a Krell 300 wpc amp.
