One pair of the M&K satellites. Interesting story behind this speaker, they are modeled after the speaker system Ken Kreisel built for his M&K real time recording studio. This speaker still has a cult following, and is still sought out for its performance. Uses two SEAS mid-bass drivers and two stacked Vifa tweeters. Heck you can't buy replacement drivers off the used market for the cost of what I am selling these speakers for. This driver arrangement results in a controlled dispersion pattern, and the crossover network and tweeter module are arranged for time alignment. The crossover network is unusual in that it can use individual output controls for midbass and tweeter output. Or they can be bypassed and run in the purest mode. Cabinets are in very nice condition, with no major dings or scratches. Grills are in nice shape, with MK logos intact. One speaker does have two grill pegs snapped off by the previous owner, and a velcro dot in place to hold the grill. Works fine, although the pegs can easily be replaced, and sourced from Parts Express. I just have not had enough stuff to order from PE to warrant placing a purchase. Was on my to do list. Perhaps the only area this speaker can be improved is the internal wiring. Its basic thin gauge stuff with push connectors. Typical for its time period. An afternoon of rewiring should net significant performance improvements. Local pick up preferred from 99320. If I am going to ship them I will need a materials charge for packing supplies. These are very nice condition speakers, and I want them to arrive in undamaged condition.
