Item DescriptionI am reluctantly selling my Apogee Full Range Speakers, as restored by True Sound Works. All new CNC machined ribbons from Apogee Acoustics, which are of much higher quality and sensitivity than the original version. Completely new crossover that eliminates the transformers found in the original version and allows the speaker to be single amped (but bi-wiring should be considered a necessity). Completely full range--down to 25 hz from matched, seamless ribbons, and capable of 110+db peaks.
I selling because I am moving and the new place just doesn’t have a room that is big enough. I drove these with no problems with 150 watt tube amps--a monster solid state amp is not required.
The only flaw is a tiny wrinkle in one of the bass drivers that occurred when the speakers were moved. It has no effect on the sound, or performance, or mechanical integrity of the speaker--for details feel free to call and ask Rich at True Sound Works.
Local pick up preferred, but I will ship--freight will be around $1000 in the US.
