This pair of Altec Lansing speakers are the two-way design used in the Voice of the Theater A7 and the Capistrano model cabinets from around 1963. This particular set of components are single owner and were originally purchased and built into large custom particleboard boxes. The enclosures couldn’t be kept as they were built into the walls of a home theater room that was remodeled. However, the wood boxes were homemade and could be reproduced using Altec plans; they were installed like Figure 24 as seen here:

The auction includes two of each: H-811 B sectoral horn 804A high frequency driver 803B woofer N-800-E dividing network These have a beautiful gleaming finish in classic Altec green and are in superb condition—they were ever only installed once! The woofers have their original cones as seen by the "21090" stamps. Looking at the consumer price list at lansingheritage.org (http://www.lansingheritage.org/images/altec/catalogs/1963-pro/price.jpg), these speakers cost $318 in 1963. That's equivalent to $2,650 today.
