The Fostex F200A drivers are the best sounding of the Fostex “single” drivers with killer bass, rich detailed midrange and no “shout”. The only thing they lack is the very top end and need help from a super tweeter. The Hi-Vi RT2-Pro ribbon tweeters are a great match to fill out the top end for the F200A. I have a pair of KCS speakers that use these two drivers in a large ported cabinet (see the pic) and they are fabulous sounding. They need about 4 watts or more of power to get them cooking in a moderate size room. I have used a 300B amp with these in a large room and a 45 amp in a small room. I acquired a complete set of drivers and associated hardware to build another pair of these speakers. All these parts came from a pair of KCS speakers whose cabinets were trashed by UPS. All of the components escaped harm and are in perfect condition. I have downsized to a much smaller home, and I am not going to be able to build another set of these, so I am passing the parts along. Here is the list: A pair of Fostex F200A drivers A pair of Hi-Vi RT2-Pro Ribbon Tweeters Mundorf Supreme caps and resistors, all wired up for the crossovers Gold binding posts in biwire cups The price on all these parts new was over $1,600. I am asking $800 plus shipping. The shipping weight will be about 30 lbs, from zip 92078. The KCS cabinets are large volume ported with dimensions of 13” W X 17” D X 40” H. Here are some specs on the drivers: Fostex F200A 8" Full Range with Alnico Magnet
