Heil AVT (Air Velocity Transformer) or AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter, one of the best, clearest, non-fatiguing tweeters available. It covers the range from 1500-23000Hz. The woofer is set at a 45-degree angle to maintain correct phasing. This 6" driver responds within +/- 3dB from 40Hz to the crossover point of 1500Hz.
Moderately sensitive speaker of 89dB/W/m. Impedance of 4 ohms and sensitivity presented no problems. I tried solid state and tubes. At all volume levels, the sound remained smooth, clear and undistorted, and at low volume it still presented a reasonable soundstage and low-frequency response. Dimensions of 9"W by 11.8 "D x 20"H, this is easy to place and attractive with its custom finish. I’ll include custom made wooden stands metal loaded. Very solid, heavy and stable. The Aulos are like new. Made in Switzerland.
