A classic Nakamichi 700 cassette deck. Cosmetically, it is fairly good shape, especially considering it is 45 years old, but needs all of its drive belts replaced. It plays and records OK, though sometimes it needs to warm up a bit for a tape to play without the stop button engaging; this is due to the slipping belts. Fast forward and rewind are most in need of new belts. The current ones slip badly, especially so on longer tapes. The heads look in fair shape and the meters/lights work. This deck has been lightly used over the years as it was never my main source of music. I used it more to make tapes for the car than to listen in the home, and for the past decade or two its primary use has been to transfer the odd cassette here and there that has no CD replacement available. That has averaged twice a year (often for a friend.) I've priced this to sell as I'm moving in a month or two and don't want to haul this around again. Ebay has these listed near $1,000 or much higher if you want a fully refurbed one. With the caveats noted above, this is being sold as-is. Take note that this thing is heavy (~30 lbs).
