Tandberg TCD 440 A. Absolute Top of the line, and highly desirable, vintage cassette deck from the late 1970s. This deck is a total score. Out dragon your dragon. No box, no feet, no papers. Dolby NR, Bias Selector, and output levels all seem to work. There may be a repeating "click" during play back. I did not test the deck for recording. There are visible signs of use and age, as this is a used deck that is over 30 years old. I am making no claims to the MINT condition or flawless operation of this unit. The unit may need to have it's heads cleaned/demagnitized/realigned, it may need belts replaced, there are chips on the wood panels, general dusty-ness, and perhaps other issues. Please factor that into your interest in this super deck. I would also factor in a visit to your hi-fi serviceperson of your choice to have this unit given a complete going over to return it to factory specs. The deck played back the tape I put in it, but I surely didn't adjust the recording head's azimuth, or calibrate the bias or do any other advanced testing on this particular deck...
