One pair of rare Tung-Sol top-getter 5U4-G vacuum tubes. These were re-branded for Ken-Rad and then re-branded again as GE when GE purchased Ken-Rad in 1945. I have compared these to several known samples of Tung-Sol top-getter 5U4Gs and they are 100% identical. Here are some of those characteristics (besides the top-getters): 1. Dual support rods between the plates. 2. Heat shields in the bases.
3. Plate structure. 4. 5U4-G inside a stop-sign logo printed on the glass. These tubes are new-old-stock (NOS) and come in their original Ken-Rad boxes (note that the boxes are not in the best condition). I have kept these for a long time in case I purchased a component that uses this tube type. It doesn’t look like that is going to happen, so time to let them go. These tubes test very good at 86/89 and 88/97 (where 65 is the minimum GOOD level). They will be expertly packed at no extra charge. Tung-Sol top-getter 5U4Gs are considered to be the best 5U4 type and amongst the best sounding rectifier tubes! Thanks.
