Vintage Lafayette Tube FM Stereo Tuner. All original from 1960, including 1958 tubes! All features work, and it has amazing reception for a 53 year old tuner. Warm, full bodied sound. The neon type tuning display tube works extremely well to help dial in stations. Other features include FM noise filter, mono, AFC, and Stereo only search. All indicators work as intended. The face is very good, with only a couple tiny scratches on the very top edge, and some slight staining around the two rocker switches from finger use. The dial glass is perfect. All lamps work. The tubes are original 1958 Hitachi, and the unit was made in Japan. On researching these old tuners, it appears Kenwood made the units assembled in Japan. Build quality is very good. Ranked condition as 6 due to age, but this lovely late 50's tuner has been well taken care of.$135 or Best Offer Shipping will be via FedEx @ 25 lbs from 97341. I will double box and protect it well.
