This tuner is in excellent cosmetic shape, it picks up many stations and sounds great.I have owned many Sherwood tuners and this is the best sounding one of all.

You may be familiar with the Sherwood S-3300; it has the same FM tuner section as the S-2300. The S-3300 is the FM Stereo only version. The S-2300 is the AM-FM Stereo version. This tuner escaped the usual wear and tear that you typically see and the original owner told me he did not use it much. This is the Latest Version of the S-2300 and Sherwood always improved their products. I do know they went from a 1/2 shield to the full shield that this tuner has. They made cosmetic improvements in the Dial Print. They made changes in the circuitry and knowing Sherwood this was for the better. I replaced 100% of the electrolytic Capacitors.
I used Nichicon UPW 105 Degree caps for the Power Supply.
On the PCB's, I used UPW for Filter Function and Elna Silmic II for the Signal Path Caps. I aligned the Stereo Separation with my fully optioned Sound Technology 1000A FM Generator. The BIAs adjustment was precise and I did not need to adjust it. The meter works very well and is a Center Tune Meter for FM operation and a Signal Strength Meter for AM Operation. Sherwood used the best quality IF Cans. Sherwood was big on engineering and small on marketing expense. I'm sure most of you know this but I thought I'd mention it for any new-comers. Sherwood S-2300 AM & FM Stereo Tuner Demo & For Sale #5225
[Upon request I can provide a AM Section Demo. The AM section works very well.] The tuner is a nice compact design and measures: 14 1/8" Wide x 10 3/8" Deep x 4 1/2" Tall. I'd prefer local pick up, I am willing to ship this tuner. I am very Experienced with shipping audio gear.
