The Acer 61 was my reasonable assault on a new reference table for me back in 2019 and completed in 2020. It is built from 3” solid rock maple. The armboard is a construction of carbon fiber and balsa wood in a sandwich construction. The platter is a new VPI inverted bearing system. The motor is an Origin Live Advance, with a Wow and Flutter that measures out at .04%. The arm is a Jelco 750 with drop weight, carbon fiber headshell and beautiful riser. The arm also has been fitted with a micro adjustment VTA. The footers are chrome plated brass with carbon fiber spacer filled with sorbothane that rest on carbon fiber pads. The platter mat is carbon fiber and neoprene like substance. The clamp is an incredibly nice carbon racing carbon fiber clamp. It is covered and protected by a showcase style dust cover.
