Japanese MusicMaster .5 broadcast idler drive turntable. Speed control is similar to the Garrard 301. I have been told this table is a copy of the 301, but I have no idea if this is true.Table has a huge (see pix) AC motor, the magnetic disc speed control works well, the bearing is tight, the platter is true. Screwed down to a big, heavy many-ply plinth the table is amazingly quiet, but the emphasis is on big and heavy for the plinth. Included is one of Mirko's custom idler wheels, which is basically perfect and quiet. Cosmetically, as you may be able to tell from the pictures, the table is about a 6, nothing a coat of paint would not cure, but certainly not pristine. Mechanically and operationally its about an eight or nine. I am throwing in the pieces of Dynamat stuck here and there that probably do absolutely nothing, but who knows? Table weighs slightly less than 18 pounds, so with shipping carton that will protect it, approximately 25 pounds. FED EX ground is probably the best shipper in the U.S. USPS for overseas.
