This riveting SP10 simply must be seen in person to truly appreciate, South American Morado Rosewood is one of the most magnificent rare natural hardwoods found in nature and serves very well for use in tone wood applications. Actual plinth dimensions - 22.5" x 19.5" x 7.5" 8/10 rating only for Technics SH-10E power supply chassis scuffs. The main SP10 MKII turntable rating is closer to a 10/10. Constrained layer dampening employed in plinth structure and (1) Morado Rosewood matching Panzerholz armboard is included. Plinth comes with a full one year manufacturers structural warranty. Both table and power supply have been meticulously treated to a no-expense frame off restoration. Our signature Heirloom restoration features an absolutely stunning artisan built high mass constrained layer dampened hardwood plinth. Carefully tuned by ear, our hand crafted plinth is constructed internally of solid Poplar uniquely sandwiched between alternate layers of natural resins and solid hard Maple then sumptuously wrapped in beautiful hand selected kiln dried Morado Rosewood plank, then topped with multiple layers of acrylic clear coat and internally seal coated to create a barrier against regional moisture and air pressure. Both solid matched Rosewood armboards are matched for a perfect fit and mated to the massive plinth using non magnetic machine stainless steel set screws. The armboards will accommodate most nine to twelve inch tonearms. The entire top cast aluminum chassis plate of the Technics SP10 MKII has been striped down and refinished, wrapped in natural matching Morado Rosewood veneer. The main outer solid aluminum platter lip has been stripped of any old residue and cleanse treated. The SP10's main bearing has been inspected, micro polished, re-oiled and checked for flaws. Residual main bearing noise is eliminated with through the use of a shielded bearing drain block and solid Brass rod then covered with a matching cover plate. Brand New premium Nichicon capacitors were installed in the critical areas of the SH-10E power supply using only Cardas Silver Solder throughout for long life and speed consistency. Brake removal modification has also been performed. Post restoration, our SP10 MKII's main control boards and logic circuits are thoroughly tested for speed stability and proper functioning. Finishing off the entire restoration entails utilizing the proper isolation devices, Stillpoints Ultra SS and Artisan Fidelity precision 13 oz. machined aircraft aluminum turntable clamp. This is a reference caliber turntable which easily holds its own with analog front ends costing many thousands more. Rest assured knowing this SP10 MKII with matching Morado plinth and SH-10E power supply will be custom crated and does include a limited 90 day factory warranty on electronics and full 1 year plinth warranty against structural defects.
