Hello, I am selling my Sony ES Series Audiophile CD Player. It's a vintage model, made in Japan, that I bought new at Stereo Exchange NYC in 1989. Fantastic ES sound with smooth highs and rich mid range and bass.All pictures here are of the actual player. Cosmetically very good, with very light dings, surface blemishes (mostly on the top). The aluminum face plate is in nearly pristine condition and very clean as can be seen from the pictures. Powers up and all displays work well. The CD tray no longer opens or closes. The player used to skip a bit. At the moment it does not play CD's. So this fine machine is in need of some repair and adjustment. This is the full package, so you will also get the original full-feature Sony remote control (it works fine), plus the original owner's manual, as shown in the photos. This fine player has both digital (Optical & Coaxial) and also variable & fixed RCA analog outputs. The Sony 507ESD has the famous multi-bit Philips TDA-1541A DAC chip inside, along with many audiophile grade features. It's been called "One of the best CD players in the world ever made" by a European audiophile who mods out vintage players with vacuum tubes.
