For sale is an Adcom GFP-555 Solid State Preamplifier in minty condition. I am the second owner. I bought this last March in virtually perfect condition from an owner who reported it as very lightly used (I believe it) and put another 150-200 hours on it. I have upgraded to a separate phono stage and passive preamp and it needs to find a new home.Housing Cosmetics: Two very minor (<2mm) imperfections that you will have to look for. This is as minty as you can get without saying that it looks like a new unit. Electronics and Controls: Functions perfectly. Very smooth and quiet controls. The preamp itself makes no noise that I have ever heard. The phono stage is extremely quiet as well. No audible signs of age. It was used with both my Hafler DH-200 and my new B&K Ref 200.2 amp. Phono stage handles MM, High Output MC and Low Output MC carts with a switch for three different capacitance settings and a ground attachment. Mono switch on the front panel. Front Controls include: Balance, Bass and Treble rotary knobs
High and Lo Filter, Contour, Tone In and Mono push-button switches
Separate Recording and Listening source selector knobs Rear Connections include: Main output jacks include Normal and Lab which bypasses tone and filter controls for a cleaner circuit
2 switched and 1 unswitched AC power jacks The unit will be shipped in its original box with original foam cutouts all in very nice condition. It will be placed in a second box for shipping. Also comes with attached power cord, original user's manual, original glossy Stereophile Review (both in excellent condition)and original glossy sales flyer (in good condition with one small corner missing). I'll include the original owner's sales receipt as well. I prefer PayPal and I cover the fees, but will take Money Orders or Certified Checks. Buy with confidence. If the preamp is not as described, I offer a money back guarantee, less shipping. I use the same moniker on eBay (rockethead26) where I have 100% positive feedback including astronomy equipment, audio equipment and professional camera equipment. I have only sold personal items and have sold items for up to $3000 with no issues.
