This is a John Lindsay Hood CLass A amplifier that delivers 10 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load. I had purchased it in hopes it would run my 85 db monitors to loud enough levels but it does not. The sound is superb, however, and the unit is brand new, not a mar or a scratch on it, with less than 15 hours. If you have monitors or floorstanders that are 90 db or higher sensitivity, this is an integrated that sounds absolutely gorgeous. It comes in a champagne case, it has two blue leds one for each channel, it comes in a Krell case, but obviously it is not a Krell piece! Additionally, it uses one of the better Alps potentiometer that are currently available. This design was popularized around 1969 and there are countless articles across the web as to the nature and efficacy of the circuit. It does sound very very good, particlularly at this price point. I think this would be an excellent value for someone who likes Classical, Baroque string concertos, Corelli, Purcell, etc. very natural and good bass. It does run fairly warm as a class A design, of course, but not hot. It has more than adequate heatsinking and provides elegant sound from a very simple, well executed circuit design. Thank You for looking!
