I have a bunch of Heathkit w-5's mono amps. No tubes, but transformer test fine, peerless outputs, so iron is good. Units will vary. For one they are kits and the workmanship is variable. Also the amps have slightly different parts ( coupling caps, as well as power supply caps and resistors). Got two pairs with the big power transformers, with cages....
