The previous generations were accepted very warmly by audiophile community - see feedbacks below, however, this generation is head and shoulders better, and its timbral texture and life-like realism are comparable only to the experience of the best planar speakers !
Among many improvements, poly dome tweeter was upgraded to advanced silk dome supertweeter (>25kHz). Midrange/bass woofer was upgraded to long throw 6.5" Kevlar cone with Butyl Rubber Surround. The new reinforced Pisces MkIII asymmetrical cabinet is shaped to render resonance inert whereas heavy front baffle eliminates defraction and sonic smear.
Spectron Audio, years ago known as famous Infinity Loudspeakers, was consultant in crossover design. Special attention was given to vibration control - absolutely essential requirement in small size speakers design.
This highly professional audio engineering is translated into impressive sound: remarkably sweet and extended highs, with absolutely no hint of listener fatigue or sibilance, the 3D soundstage is highly textured, layered and enormous, with each individual instrument surrounded by air. The speakers produce beautifully blended and luxurious midrange with astounding bass extension and slam (read feedbacks).
To match the hardware quality, the special attention is given to the cabinets. The whole ensemble is wrapped in stunning dark red wood with exotic orange and brown hues. This very expensive veneer is from the family of a ultra high premium-quality timber species internationally known as "Indian Rosewood"(Dalbergia latifolia). Hand rubbed and gorgeous, the finish is reminiscent of turn of the century woodworking.
