If you're checking out this ad, chances are you know these speakers. A rare and legendary "monitor" speaker, the JSE-John Sollecito Engineering- Model .6 ("point 6") loudspeaker with "infinite slope" crossover technology. This was groundbreaking crossover technology using high-quality parts there and later (and still) incorporated in Joseph Audio speakers, which are well-regarded in the hi-end world and carry a commeasurment price-tag! Exceptional quality SEAS tweeters and 8" woofers, for unparalled clarity and neutrality and impactful low-end; these were brought to beautiful life and shockingly in no way outclassed by an $8,000 tube-amplifier! There are absolutely no mechanical or performance issues whatsoever, no dents, scratches, etc. and both grills are intact and in fine shape. In the interest of full disclosure, note in the photo with the grills removed a slight lighter-discoloration where the grills cover the speaker--the natural Oak wood below is a little darker shade. This is a byproduct of their age (these are vintage '87-'92 production) and how I received the speakers; it has never particularly bothered me and certainly in no way affects their performance and a non-issue with grills on/lights-out listening. I feel the 8/10 rating is appropriate primarily due to age and this overall relatively inconsequential cosmetic "issue", but they are unquestionably "10/10" in terms of their performance! Please check my feedback both here in the Asylum and on Audiogon under username "Soberdude"; it speaks for itself in regards to my buyer/seller history and how I conduct business. If it is not enough to assure you of a straight-forward and forthright transaction, then please do us both a favor and move on. I can double-box (never had the original boxes) for safe shipping but be prepared for upwards of $80-$100 cost, and therefore would prefer a local pick-up or mutually-agreed upon delivery arrangement within 2-1/2 hours of Raliegh, NC, or if you are anywhere along the Mid-Atlantic/Eastern Seaboard, and I may also be able to arrange delivery during my upcoming travels between Raleigh/New York. Will consider using Paypal, but only if you send payment as a "gift" so we both avoid the unecessary 3.9% fee. Serious buyers may call 252-402-6248 to expedite a transaction.
