4-way speaker system from the Teledyne days at AR. The oiled walnut cabinets are in very good condition and the 8", 10", and 12" drivers have been refoamed, the lower chamber foam replaced, upper grill cloth replaced and the crossovers upgraded to AR9LSi status that enhances the midrange presentation of these speakers(thus the i designation as indicated by AR.) The crossover upgrade is easily changed back to AR9LS configuration if desired. These speakers are in good condition and sound great! True full range frequency response(28Hz-32000Hz), powerful and clean bass, (no subwoofer needed), a smooth midrange and clear highs! Nothing new under a couple of thousand dollars can touch these speakers in terms of sound and build quality IMHO and few can rival their bass response. Owner's manuals included. These speakers originally retailed for $1800/pair in 1984! Local pick-up only, these are heavy (120lbs each).
