First: not sure what the original price was, had to put in something so I guesstimated.I've owned this amp for about 5 years and during that time it has never had an issue. I got this amp from a tech friend's personal collection and he had gone thru it. I now own 2 Pass XA.5 amps and have kept the Bedini as a back up but just don't feel I need to keep it anymore and I'd like to free up some space. It sounds very similar the the Pass XA30.5. It is rated at 45 wpc and doubles to 90 into 4 ohms. Great amp for Quad electrostatics. This amp was produced around 1979 and has a very low serial # (00XX), i believe it's one of the first 100 made. I spoke to John Bedini about this amp and my love of SET amps. He said his early ones had a "single ended" something(?) in the design that he changed later in the production run and "that is why I probably like this one so much". It's also why I have kept it so long. IMO, it would be hard to find an amp that is built and sounds this good for $1000.
I'm planning on running the ad for just a week or so. Please email a reasonable offer soon if interested. If a buyer is interested and in Southern Calif, a pick up in person may be arranged. I have no Paypal acct at this time, I could open one if necessary. I have feedback here and on Audiogon. Been a member both places for 10 years.
