Tresham Audio was founded by Richard Dunn (of NVA fame) in 1970 in the UK. The company produced mainly professional studio amplifiers.Tresham Audio produced the first non-application-note FET amplifier, which was known as SR404. It was capable of producing 200w or going into bridged mono mode, producing over 1000w into a 4 ohm load. The amplifiers were of high performance and extremely stable. A special point of the DR series is that the power supply was not installed in the pre-amp and power-amp, but used an external power supply. The Tannoy-Tresham DR-102 is renowned by experts to be their best HIFI stereo amplifier. It was produced specifically for Tannoy for use with their extensive line of Monitor speakers. The DR-102 is a 110 watt per channel amp using FET output devices. It is believed by many audiophiles to be amongst the best amplifiers for the 15-inch series of Tannoy domestic speakers. I used the amp with HDP12 (Cheviot), Harbeth and Supravox ONKEN speakers with great effect. It is a refine sounding amp with excellent control and musicality. This unit, with its dedicated external power supply have been inspected by a competent technician and was given a good bill of health. It is quiet and stable in any load. The unit is in good overall physical condition, with a few minor scratches. Built quality is excellent. Only selling because I hav too many amps to keep them all.
