This is an excellent little amplifier - if you're powering a small set of monitors (or something larger like a Snell E or it's derivatives) you could do much worse. My preference is really to sell it locally so that the buyer can be confident in their purchase. There's just so much that can go wrong when shipping...

I've had a thing for vintage EL34's amps since the late 80's - when I bought my first Fisher amp (followed by Dynaco and many others). They just do something right. CJ wanted to improve upon the classic Dynaco without breaking the bank and this was their solution. In my opinion they succeeded admirably.

It works, looks decent and comes with a set of tubes that should be good for another few years.

I'm in the process of repairing tons of equipment that I've collected over the years and something has to give. Let me tell you - those repair bills can add up!

Got other stuff here as well. McIntosh 1900 receiver, two Fisher 500's, huge honkin' speakers and amps. I have one MC30 that I'm willing to part with, some Spica's, fun stuff all around. Did I mention that I have too much gear? 1900 is not rebuilt - $350. Fisher 500 beater (needs a full rebuild) $250 with ??? tubes - a refurbed 500b that is in nice shape for $900. Also have a Scott 396 receiver that's beautiful but untested ($550) - yeah, you'll need a variac - it worked the last time it was plugged in (about 10 years ago). Sansui 500a receiver - really nice shape but it's also been about 10 years since it was last fired up ($450). Oracle Delphi (with a Magnepan Unitrac) that was rebuilt and is in excellent shape ($1400) that'll essentially spank anything new that you can buy in that range and looks amazing. Yes, there's more gear here - but please don't ask me if I have a Lirpa model 2 xxx because if I do I might not want to part with it... yada yada... The last picture shows you a few other things I'm selling - and keeping...

I have a pair of open baffle bass speakers (you can call them subs if you want) with 2 Eminence Alpha 15's per side (in a red DIY plywood baffle) that were used with 500 watt Dayton Audio SA1000 amps (serious sub amps) - baffles and woofers are $400 for the pair - the amps are $500 for the pair. These were used with Acoustats but could easily be turned into a full range open baffle (lots of options out there). I was thinking something along the lines of the Pure Audio Project...

Please don't send me any silly questions. Research this stuff - figure out whatever you need to before contacting me. I'm not a hifi shop. I enjoy this stuff but not I don't want to talk about it all day. Actually I'd like to have some time to listen to my own gear...

Pick up and cash only of course - exceptions will only be made to Asylum members with a history. Go ahead send me the scam emails, I always need a good laugh. If you're looking for vintage hifi as well please look up my other adds on CL (in NYC) (Hamilton Heights Hifi). Please reply with your PHONE NUMBER and with some sort of indication that you are human - questions of availability will be soundly ignored - if it's listed it's available. AGAIN, PLEASE INCLUDE A PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL OR YOU WILL NOT GET A REPLY - redundant you say - you'd be surprised...

Paypal fees (if you should chose that option) will be on you. Just to be clear I'm a slow shipper - I pack stuff the way I would like to receive it and I try to reuse whatever packing materials I have on hand. I work 12 hour days and probably won't get to send it off until after the first weekend. In other words - figure 2 -3 weeks before it's in your hands (here in North America).

Interested in fair trades for vintage hifi (Garrard 301/401, Triode high end power amplifiers, Brociner, Luxman, Sansui, Marantz, Tannoy Westminster or Autograph, Fidelity Research, Lectron, Verdier, Phy-HP and similar items) - If you have a large Micro Seiki let's talk... Hi Rez tube DA would also be interesting.

Sorry about the pictures - they show properly in my preview window...
