This is a George Wright WPA 5050 power amp, I purchased the amp new from George in 6/2000 and have the sales receipt. George built this himself. George built wonderful products and used high quality components. The amp has on board biasing, damping control, and sensitivity adjustment. ( I can send a portion of his web page about this amp upon request)
It is conservatively rated at 50 wpc, the tube compliment is as follows
(4) GE 6550a, (6) RCA6sn7gtb, (2) gz37/cv3378. I upgraded these from what was supplied. (The 6550’s are a matched set from Jim McShane).
This amp has low hours, I am rating it at 8/10 for age. I really does sound great and works perfectly. I am selling because I do not use it enough to justify keeping it and am getting on in age.
I would prefer local pick-up (because of weight) and I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet or deliver. I will ship if necessary.
