A Harman Kardon Citation II power amp in great working condition. This amp has the McShane level one upgraded parts and was totally rewired with silver plated/teflon coated wire, all new resistors, capacitors, new bias pots, 5 way binding posts, NOS output tube sockets, new power cord and gold plated RCA input jacks. The original bias meter was replaced and tip jacks were installed to set the bias and AC balance more accurately with the direct read method, using a DVOM. The output tubes are the EI KT-90 tubes purchased from Jim McShane. I will also throw in a sleeve of NOS RCA 12BY-7A for backup input tubes. The outputs tubes are wired in the triode configuration. It can be easily be rewired for pentode mode, see Jims’ website, http://www.mcshanedesign.net/. The cosmetics are from having the chassis stripped and copper plated. The transformers were buffed to a brilliant shine and clear coated. The copper is maintained with metal polish applied at regular intervals. There is a slight ding in one of the output transformers which does not affect performance. These amps are heavy and I will construct a wooden frame to stabilize in shipment and may be in the 80+ lb. range in weight when boxed.
