I have seen other amp builders take these particular transformers and reuse them on much more expensive amps too.This pair of clean Heathkit WM-5 tube mono block power amps with cages and matching tube preamps. Preamp knobs don't match between units, one cage on power amp is missing logo. You can find a matching sets of preamp knobs on eBay easily. Wonderful sounding and comes with those great transformers (they do not make them like this anymore.) Was told by the previous owner that the amps have the Vacuum Tube Valley capacitor upgrade. See photos to verify if you know about it. All units were checked and in good operating order. This is a plug and play system. Sold without any kind of warranty or returns. This amplifier employs a specially designed Peerless output transformer and uses KT66 tubes. Involving entirely new techniques in transformer design, this Peerless unit prevents loss in frequency response, especially at moderate volume levels, in addition to allowing increased power output.
