For sale is my prized Jeff Korneff single ended 6L6 / EL-34 tube amplifier. Great cosmetic and perfect operational condition. This wonderful amp can be run as a triode strapped 6L6 making around 2.5 watts per channel, or a triode strapped EL-34 making around 6-8 watts. KT-66 worked fine here too. Electraprint transformers, vintage Chicago choke and hand matched Visconol British military grade oil filled coupling and power supply capacitors fill the underside. 6AR4 rectifier and 6SJ7 input tubes. I’m including Russian 6L6, which were the best sounding 6L6 tubes I used in the amp. Also included are a low hour pair of Psvane Treasure EL-34 tubes. For the driver, I am including metal collar Sylvania glass type 6SJ7 from the 1940s and a pair RCA red metal 6SJ7, considered to be the best 6SJ7 ever made. If you are familiar with Jeff Korneff, you know the quality of his amplifiers. This is a tank and is certainly the best construction I have ever seen for a tube amplifier. My understanding is that this is a 6L6 version of his famous 45 circuit, and is the only one he ever made. Only selling to raise cash for a Thomas Mayer amplifier, otherwise this would never be put on the market. Watch for a superb Scott 299C also coming up for sale soon. This will be very well packed, double boxed, and tubes will ship in a separate box. Paypal preferred; buyer pays shipping and insurance. Local demo and pickup near Washington DC is welcome. Feel free to ask questions, and thanks for looking!
