I am selling an incredible example of the venerable Pilot SA-260 power amplifier. This amp has been restored to like or better than new condition by use of the very best quality parts; new Teflon V-caps, Mundorf MCap Supremes, and mil-spec metal film resistors. Selenium bias rectifier was replaced with diodes. There are all new RCA jacks and binding posts. Tubes are all vintage type tubes, Telefunken 12AX7, 12AU7's, RCA 5U$ rectfiers, Tesla 6CA7 output tubes. Tubes test strong. I did not, nor am I capable of doing a restoration to this level; it was done by a well respected aficionado of Pilot audio. I have bought several pieces of Pilot gear from him and all are just wonderful sounding and look very nice.
This amp sounds fabulous, runs dead quiet, with a smooth, sweet sound and beautiful soundstage. It simply blows away most of the classic vintage amplifiers of it's era and most newer manufactured amps. It is just stunning!

If you are looking for true, legendary, vintage, classic amplifier that sounds better than the many "boutique" amps out there, this is what you want.NOTE:
One of the output tubes went out a few months ago, I replaced it with an EL 34 I had. I will include the other three EL 34's with the sale. This is my favorite of all of the vintage tube amps I have owned. It is a stunner. It should be good for another 30 years without touching it (except for the tubes.)
I believe this will be my lowest price and will just keep it if no one is interested.
