I have an excellent condition Oppo Sonica DAC/Streamer with the ESS 9038 DAC chip along with EVS' super singled ended mod by Ric Schultz. Ric's $800 mod takes the Sonica to the next level. He replaced capacitors, clock, voltage regulators, analog output stage, internal wiring, adds transformer damping and more. In addition to being an excellent DAC the Oppo Sonica is also an easy to use streamer, capable of handling UPNP streaming, Bluetooth, Airplay, etc.
