To make a long, drawn out story as concise as possible..... Non-local customer who lives in area out west that doesn't have a lot of local dealers. He wanted to work with us to coordinate a large scale in home demonstration of all the products he was interested in, with the idea of keeping what he liked and getting a package deal for his trouble... the downside of this would be that he also would be returning some or all of the equipment he got from from us to demo. We would have preferred sending him to a local dealer closer to him (even if it meant helping another dealer make a sale) or even paying to have him fly to our location so he could demo to his hearts content and really know before having to put up any money at all what he liked and wanted to buy. He refused to travel, citing health issues. We couldn't be without our entire demonstration equipment list for headphone related gear for the amount of time it would take to ship it all to him, have him demo for a few days even (he wanted almost a month to try it all in various combinations), and then ship it all back. So if he wanted to do this, he had to buy new, sealed stock and return stuff as open box returns and pay restocking fees on what he returned. We actually really applaud that he didn't do it half way and ordered everything all at once so he could do direct comparisons back and forth in real time. That's the only true way to really know which you prefer. We really do applaud that kind of thinking, even though we now have a list of things that are open box that we need to find new owners for and re-sell. He bought a really great couple of headphone setups (Audeze LCD-XC, Sennheiser HD800 along with PS Audio Directstream DSD DAC feeding Bakoon Products HPA-21 amp and a SPL Phonitor Mini amp... and an iFi Audio Micro iDSD for portable listening), which also integrate into his home stereo as well (the PS Audio DirectStream DSD DAC which feeds his 2 channel rig as well as feeds the headphone amplifiers for his headphone setups). We know we can't sell open box stuff for the same price as new anymore. So we're pricing these items aggressively to turn them quickly and reduce the amount of time and effort we need to expend to make it happen. We updated the prices recently to show crazy, rock bottom prices that are below our dealer cost in almost all instances. The only method of payment accepted on foreign transactions is direct bank to bank transfer. We've had too many issues with Paypal on international transactions and there is no other secure method of payment other than direct bank transfer that we've found that works on international transactions and provides some fraud protections.
