For sale is 2 CMQEE 3440A cinemag step up transformers. I have wired them and installed them in an aluminum Hammond project box which is inherently shielded. The installation and set up is for normal stereo audio. It is wired for high and low gain with a simple switch to move from on to the other. I put this in the phono preamp section but to be clear these are just the step up transformers (SUT) to go from a moving coil signal to a moving magnet level output. This allows you to use a phono preemp that either has a poor MC section which is common or only has a MM phono section. If you prefer MC phono carts, this high quality SUT will be one of you biggest bangs for the buck. I used it with a Denon 103 and 103r and was very satisfied. I am only selling because I've decided to make a wildly irresponsible purchase and the only way I could justify it is to sell the gear I am not using. I've got several SUTs and headamps that I've built so one of them had to go. In my configuration this SUT was out of sight so I didn't pay much attention to craftsmanship and esthetics. This is very much a "project box". However, I think I did a pretty good job at the actual wiring and grounding. Its very quiet and in my system has zero hum. I qualify with "in my system" because grounding is such a fussy thing, I wouldn't dare say anything categorically. It will allow you to hear these SUTs and decided if they are right for your system without having to buy a professionally wired box or do it yourself. If you like it, then you can leave it as is or design your own enclosure. I am not selling this as a finished professional product. The SUTs themselves are of course finished and professional. Thanks for looking!
