These are used to combat RF and EMI noise at the component level. Audio Magic uses these excellent modules in all their power conditioners, but they keep finding innovative applications for them in various parts of the audio chain. I have one in my DAC, and this one is used on the outputs of my phono stage. Just get them located inside a component, or on the output jacks. You get a lower noise floor, a greater sense of space, and improved low level detail. A power conditioner deals with noise on the incoming AC, the Pulse Gen modules deal with noise inherent in a component.
