** PRICE DROP ** now $2195!It is with great reluctance that I am putting up this very special Oracle DAC 1000 Preamp for sale. You don't see these come up for sale very often. I have been the proud owner of this unit since late in 2009 and loved every minute of it. It is in excellent condition and maintained in a smoke-free, kid-free environment. It is both an exceptional DAC and excellent preamp and can be easily configured to work solely as a DAC via a switch on the back. I used it as both a DAC and preamp with input a Squeezebox Touch via spdif disital, my CD transport via xlr digital, my phono preamp via analog inputs and my HT receiver via analog inputs set in bypass mode. But check the specs for all possible input/output options... A highly flexible component that served my needs admirably. On top of all that, it is a stunningly gorgeous piece of gear as well. Switching between sources and options was a breeze with the excellent remote carved from a solid block of aluminum (see pic). There are also buttons on the front of the unit for full control as well. For what it's worth, I have been in contact with Oracle and they have told me that there will be an upgrade path to the MkII when it is released. No pricing available.
