Selling my great sounding CJ PV10A with phono. Serial number 2301706. This one is fully functional and sounds amazing. No issues electronically, no noise, and has a complete set of 5 new Genelex Gold Lion small signal tubes (a $350 value). This PV 10 was factory upgraded by Conrad Johnson to PV10A in September of 92’ as noted on the rear panel factory badge, and has also been recapped with Solen film caps and Wima films for output coupling. I’ve been using this preamp for the past few weeks, using both phono section and line stage with absolutely no issues and superb sound quality. I’ve used my Denafrips DAC through the auxiliary input, my Thorens TD160 with Grado Gold through the phono stage and it all sounds great. No noise, no hum, just clean, vivid CJ sound quality. I’m confident that the new owner will be pleased with its performance. The new Genelex tube complement should provide many hours of maintenance free use, and is one reason I’m firm on the $800.00 asking price. Cosmetically, the only issue is the wear to the top cover. Easily sanded and repainted if you are interested in perfect cosmetics. Faceplate and knobs are in excellent condition and look beautiful as you can see in the photos.
