Here is a working, and very cool 717a linestage.Same tube famously used by Yamamoto. The gain is pretty high. I've used this effectively with low gain amps, e.g. a 6j5 driving a 2a3. It may be a little noisy with higher gain amps, but maybe not. Build quality is nice. Has one input and one output. Also has a ground lift switch. Great maple base and top plate. Its a nice DIY platform at this price too. No returns etc. on this one. Its been great for me in the right system, but is a little sensitive to matching as I've indicated. Have fun!
