Long time HP favorite and Best of the Best on the TAS list, this is an Original Decca Wide Band released in 1960 of Peter Maag conducting the London Symphony Orchestra, Mendelssohn in Scotland. This is a 1st pressing 1E/1E matrix on Edition 1 label. Sleeve is also of the earliest release having the scalloped back. Vinyl is conservatively rated VG+. Truly stunning sound and sense of hall and orchestra. (side 1 plays perfectly and side 2 has some ticks at lead-in) Sleeve has some slight ring wear on back and a small 3"split center of spine.
