Up for sale is an excellent pair of Cary Silver Oak Model One speakers. These were designed by Dennis Had, and sound great. They are a two way, with 2 7” SEAS Excel Magnesium mid drivers, along with a SEAS Excel Tweeter. The crossover uses all very high quality parts. They are a sealed design, and weight can be added to further reduce resonance. The speakers are in outstanding shape. They are near perfect cosmetically and sonically. They can be driven with as little as ten watts and work equally well with tubes as well as solid state. They are designed for a wide and even dispersion. Due to the weight of the speakers, local pick up is strongly preferred. I have the original packing and manual, so shipping is an option at owner’s expense. The Silver Oak One has dual 6 ½ inch magnesium acoustic suspension mid bass drivers with a 1” silk soft dome tweeter and an 18 dB per octave crossover. The cabinet is very attractive, with a hand rubbed clear coat finish. Plinth feet are standard. The crossover is set at 3.0 kHz. Rated power handling is 10 to 200 watts per channel. Rated frequency response is from 38 Hz to 23,000 kHz + 3 dB. Rated system impedance is 8 ohms. Kavazinga wood veneer is standard; other finishes are available to special order.
