This is an extremely rare pair of DuKane DUKE-30 speakers from 1961. These use the highly regarded Ionovac plasma tweeter. I replaced capacitors in the Ionovac power supplies and an electrode in one tweeter, and they work excellent. A spare pair of NOS Ampex 6DQ6B oscillator tubes are also included. The DUKE-30's were the second largest speaker DuKane sold and include a 12" woofer and two 3" midranges. This pair is finished in cherry veneer. The cabinets are tapered at the rear for corner placement, which will give the best bass response, but they also sound fine out in the room. These speakers are in very good condition and present well. They do have some light scratches on the top and some chipped veneer on the base edge. The Ionovac units are excellent with no corrosion. The previous owner's SSN is lightly etched on the power supply mounting plates, but is barely visible. The bamboo weave front surface is excellent. They belong in a museum. A wealth of information on the Ionovac tweeter and Dukane speakers is available at http://www.ionovac.com/ Spare parts for the Ionovac are also available there. They are 48"tall and will weigh approx. 55 lb ea boxed and should be able to ship via Fedex Ground or UPS within the USA. If the buyer (especially foreign) only wants the Ionovac units, I will ship only those, but the price is the same. Buyer pays shipping and any Paypal fees. I'd be happy to answer any questions, and more pictures are available at the link shown.
