Description below: This speaker is a collector’s item. Some of the key features that makes these speakers so desirable are the drivers and the indestructible crossovers. I am told by ADS enthusiast that the L780/2 crossovers come with crossover components that never deteriorate over time they are made for life, same applies for their drivers, the woofer surrounds are all rubber, all the drivers still look like new, immaculate condition.
This is the mark two version with upgraded crossovers, banana speaker terminals this is significant improvement over the original version.
Made in Germany with highest quality components and a fantastic design. These speakers are acoustically suspended, no ports, this gives a really nice rounded, dimensional bass. The 8” woofer sounds seamless with the mids and highs and its so much more accurate in comparison to its siblings with 10” divers and dual 8” drivers, the 8” woofer gives a cleaner accurate tuneful mid-bass. I found the 10” woofer didn’t quite seem to quite integrate well with the high frequency.
2” dome mids produce amazing mids, at this price its very hard to beat, and the woofer acts very much like a mid-bass driver than a woofer and it gives a very good deep outline over the mids this is what makes it sound so rich and lush this is what these speakers are known for.
Read rave online reviews, these speakers are legendary eBay sells these at $350+. Mine are in very good shape considering their age but the drivers are in top condition, if you are handy you can restore the cabinets to look like new. At less that $300 you will never ever find this performance, at this age not many speakers can hold this value, there is a good reason why they are a collector’s item.
